Sorry this is late...I was SO tired yesterday!
Quyana! I am very thankful for all of the responses to my post about the prom clothes! It's so exciting!
Yesterday it rained all day. There is a chance for sunshine this week... I will keep my fingers crossed. I decided to go berry picking yesterday and since I couldn't find anyone that wanted to go with I decided to go alone. On my way there a few of the students saw me and decided to come with me. They showed me what berries were the best to pick and which ones weren't ripe yet. So everything turned out good. The tundra around the village was pretty wet since it has been raining for the past few days. There would be mossy patches of little hills surrounded by wet grassy lakes. The berries were on top of the mossy patches. I was able to see the bright red/orange of the berries across the tundra. It was much easier to fill up a bag of berries when you have 4 children helping you :-) I'll take some pictures of the berries and post them later today. I am hoping to make some salmonberry jam with them. Yum!
