It has been an interesting day. I learn so much every day that I am here. I have gotten used to wearing rain boots to work every day. They seem to match whatever I wear. I guess Alaska does something to your sense of style. LOL! My school psych came out to Kipnuk today. She came on the morning plane and I was in my office when it came in. What an experience... knowing your support staff is here because you hear their plane come in. We had some introductions and talked about some scheduling and then she was back on a plane to Bethel. Amazing!
Teaching here is really amazing. I feel very supported. I am assigned a mentor from the State, all of my services people tell me that they will bring me out supplies from Bethel if I need them...one is actually coming out Thursday and he is bringing me butter! LOL! I just think that this is such an incredible experience.
I went berry picking again today. I'm going to try to get my hands on some gelatin so I can make jam. We'll see if they have any at the store in town. I took some pictures of the salmonberries. They were so yummy!
