Good morning, Kipnuk! What a great way to start my day... eating breakfast and watching the sun rise :-) It was absolutely gorgeous!
Today was an amazing day! I was so happy to see my students. I felt like I hadn't seen them in ages! AND THEY ALL TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE BORED LAST WEEK AND WERE EXCITED TO BE BACK IN SCHOOL!!! I love that I am somewhere where students are excited to be in school.
It was one of the student's birthday today and I was invited over to her house to celebrate. While she isn't one of my students, I know her from the village and I have her older sister and brother in my classes and know her mother. The house was packed with people and food! There was so much food. They had salmon, pasta, moose soup with rice, rolls, jello and a Tinkerbell cake! It was all delicious. It was nice to spend time with my students' family and get to know them better.
It was the perfect ending in to a wonderful day!
