This is so exciting! I just had to blog about it to share. So as most of you know, I am an assistant coach for the girl's basketball team. We placed second in our league so get to compete in the district tournament. We traveled here, to Bethel, Wednesday night and have been fighting to win since. So far all the games have been pretty close but we have won them all so far. Yesterday, we played Akula and we won 68-42, tonight we played Toksook Bay and won 40-37. It was a nail biter but we made it and we play Chefornak tomorrow at 6:15 pm our time. If you would like to listen you can listen online at... kyuk.org ... just click on the "listen live" button.
So the game tonight was incredible. Everyone here LOVES basketball! The gym was packed... there were people sitting in the aisles. The crowd was so intense and we had so many people from Kipnuk that came out to support us! It was a great experience. I will keep you updated.
